Little Bear - 3 Years Old

This post is sooooo late.  I've gotten out of the habit of blogging and want to get back to it so I can make sure a record some important memories.  We had a small celebration for Little Bear at Union Station to see all the trains and then ate at a restaurant where the food is delivered to your table on a train.  It was a fantastic day and birthday boy was super happy.

Little Cub is 13 Months Old

 Oh my word!  Little Cub is a climber now.  She climbed all the way to the top of the play set without me helping.  I was impressed.  I'm having to watch this one.  She's starting to say some words.  You can hear diaper, shoe, and of course momma and dadda.  She understands quite a bit and is doing a few signs.  She still doesn't have much hair, but it's more than several months ago.

12 Months Old

This post is long overdue, but every time I tried to do it, blogger would never recognize the pictures on my computer.  I think since 2 months have passed since these pictures, I won't have much to say.  Little Cub certainly is a joy and delight to us.  Big Brother - Little Bear, still torments her on occasion, but then is the sweetest boy to her.  Little Cub is starting to get a mind of her own and it's fun to watch.

11 Months Old

Seriously?  She's 11 months old already?  Only 1 more month and she will be 1 year old.  Crazy!  She's walking really well now.  She's sleeping better too - wakes only once a night.  I'm loving that for sure!!!!  Little Cub loves to "read" her books.  I can often find her in her room rummaging through her box of books.  She still loves her Momma Bear and lately has had more stranger anxiety.  She doesn't like me to put her in the stroller and would rather I wear her.  However, with the hot days lately, that's not very comfortable for me.  She enjoys the swimming pool.  She and Little Bear are taking swimming lessons.  Today was a breakthrough for Little Bear and it made this Momma Bear proud.  Little Cub did well too and even swam under water to me.  It's so important to me that they both learn to swim.

Little Cub is 10 Months Old

My sweet Little Cub is 10 months old - this post is a month late (oops).  She is moving so fast now.  She has taken her first steps.  She's a bit nervous when she does it and just does a few at a time.  She prefers to hold onto my hand.  She's sleeping a little bit better and wakes twice a night.  She eats pretty much anything we eat and practically snarfs it down.  Little Cub is starting to imitate sounds and especially likes to imitate her brother.  It's so cute to watch.  She loves to play with his toys.

8 Months Old

My sweet Little Cub - oh how you amaze me!  You are loving solid food.  You chow down on cereal puffs like crazy.  You've pretty much had all the veggies by now.  You like apple wedges a ton.  You are moving so fast, it's getting harder and harder to keep my eyes on you and your brother.  You still aren't sleeping very well.  I've even asked the docs I work with and they say you just need me.  That makes me happy you need me.  I know you won't want to cuddle with me forever, so I guess I will take advantage of it while I can.  Your brother Little Bear loves you so much, but torments you at times.  I pray you both will have a great relationship your whole life!  You're pulling to stand and are cruising.  I  need to be on my guard all the time when you're awake.  You're really starting to talk a lot and I can't wait to hear you say "momma" and really mean it.

7 Months Old

Oh my goodness, my sweet Little Cub is already 7 months old.  Seriously?  How fast does she have to grow up?  She really is interacting more and more, talking all the time, and really moving all over.  She doesn't crawl in the traditional way, but more like "the worm."  It's really fun to watch.  She gets to wherever she wants to go.  I really need to baby proof the fireplace area so she doesn't hit her head on the rocks.  Sleeping is still an issue we are struggling with.  I did the "cry it out" thing with Little Bear and it went really well.  He had a few rough nights, but learned quickly to sleep through the night.  Little Cub on the other hand will cry for 45 minutes and won't calm until I go in her room.  And, she doesn't just whimper, she screams hard for the entire 45 min.  It's rather frustrating.  I hope she figures out the sleep thing soon so we can all get better sleep.

She's starting to eat more solid food.  I figured out that she doesn't like the pureed stuff, but will eat broccoli, apples, bananas, pieces of steamed carrots, and some cereal puffs.  I don't know what I will do with all the baby food I made.  Maybe I will make smoothies with the fruit ones.
